S4R win Contract for RDF Production Plant in Estonia

S4R are pleased to announce that we have secured a design and build contract for a turn-key RDF Production Plant in Estonia. We competed in an open tender with three major European system design and build companies.

Having worked on the project design for over 18 months and working closely with our customer to overcome any obstacles, our customer finally gained planning permission to commence with the new plant build – installation of machinery will commence in June. The long planning process was caused in part by concerns over potential odour emission at this new site by a neighbour in the food industry. However, we took the concerned party to a similar installation to demonstrate that odour will be well contained, which resulted in their full approval.

The plant will process 80,000 tonnes per annum of MSW waste and we will yield a good percentage of high quality RDF material based on our mechanical process and the aerobic drying process which we will install for the wet organic material. The dry RDF will be utilised in the local Cement Company where our customer already has a fuel supply agreement in place.

We are looking forward to the official handover of the plant at the end of this year, as it will be a real showcase for S4R to not only demonstrate our proven RDF preparation once again, but will also show the complementary technologies we have developed with our partners that are also available to you, such as the drying process and the bespoke RDF storage silos and loading system.

Please visit our main site systems4recycling for more information, together with testimonials from satisfied clients, regarding our technologies and proven system installations.
