Tyre Shredders supply the only true single-pass shredding system producing a 20mm virtually wire-free rubber chip from whole passenger tyres in a single machine. The result of substantial time and money investment enabled us to develop a unique system – The TS50 System – which will take whole car and 4x4 tyres and in a single-pass, produce a 20mm virtually wire-free rubber chip along with a very clean steel-wire bi-product. The system is ideal for start-up and small businesses as well as established tyre recyclers offering a truly straightforward and profitable operation In addition to the TS50 system, Tyre Shredders can offer systems to cater for all sizes of tyre up to Super-Singles and all grades of material down to Mesh 100 (0.15mm) at varying outputs.

The TS50 system eliminates the need for multiple machines to produce a saleable product from car and 4x4 tyres. A small, compact system – operated by one man-can handle in the region of 800 car tyres per day whilst producing a 20mm, wire-free rubber chip suitable for sale in the equestrian, garden and energy markets. Some advantages of our unique TS systems are:-

  • Output in the region of 500 kg/hr of finished, 20mm wire-free rubber chips
  • Up to 95% over the tyre rubber liberated as finished product
  • Clean steel wire extracted from the tyre with only 5-9% rubber contamination
  • Minimal wastage in the region of 6% which can be re-processed for maximum gain
  • Quiet – low speed, vibration free operation suits sensitive locations

When throughput is key, or the processing of truck and super-single tyres, then the TP300S/TS100 system is for you. Comprising a hydraulically driven pre-shredder this will handle in the region of 3 tonnes per hour and enables the installation of two TS100’s for extra capacity.

Pre-shredded tyres are then automatically fed by conveyor to the TS100 machine – very much the big brother to the TS50. This machine will also produce a 20mm wire free rubber chip and clean steel.

Advantages of this system over and above the TS50 system are;

  • Output in the region of 1,000 – 1,300 kg/hr of finished, 20mm wire-free rubber chip
  • With the addition of our DB30 debeader, truck and super single tyres can be processed
  • Automatic greasing systems for minimal maintenance downtime
  • Change whole cutter shafts complete, meaning reduced change over times
  • Addition of a second TS100 to double output capacity in one line
  • Produce the same, high quality product of the proven and established TS50 System

Processing of truck and super-single tyres can take it’s toll on shredding equipment. Heavy duty, large diameter bead wires are needed for the rigours of a lorry tyre, however they don’t go so well with cutters in a shredder.

This is why we developed our DB30 tyre debeader. Designed specifically for lorry tyres, the machine will efficiently remove both beads from lorry tyres in one step and remove them with minimal rubber contamination making the beads a saleable bi-product of your shredding process.

Our GS Series Granulation Systems fully compliment and work hand-in-hand with our TS Systems.

The GS systems comprise two stages of granulation and are installed after our TP/TS systems which produce 20mm wire-free rubber chips. This ensures that you granulate only rubber chips – not steel. This means you have virtually no fire risk, a big potential problem with tyre granulation plant and also goes to reduce massively operating and maintenance costs.

With our systems, material does not overheat and maintains good properties for further processing and manufacture of rubber products. Granulated rubber is then screened and all textile materials are removed via grading tables and air systems, giving a very good quality rubber crumb product at <4mm and textile is removed via an air system for efficient and clean disposal.

Advantages of our GS Systems include;

  • Much lower consumable costs compared to conventional technology due to all steel being removed with our TS systems
  • Virtually no fire risk. However, spark detection systems are fitted as standard for peace of mind
  • Modular system for the ultimate in flexibility and plant utilisation, maintaining production even when TS shredders are down for servicing and maintenance
  • Produce 0-2mm and 2-4mm rubber crumb suitable for rubber tiles, mats, running tracks and many other product applications
  • Grinding systems are available to take the rubber crumb down to powder, or ‘Black Gold’ with very high market values
